TSE Line Project (Tecnimont)

“Best Group is proud to announce that we have officially commenced work as the subcontractor for Tecnimont on a major polyethylene plant project within the new polymers complex in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. This significant undertaking is a joint venture between Qatar Energy and Chevron Phillips Chemical, and it involves constructing two state-of-the-art polyethylene units with impressive capacities of 1,000,000 tons per year and 680,000 tons per year, respectively.

For Qatar Energy and Chevron Phillips Chemical, this project represents a strategic expansion in the Middle East. The new polyethylene units will significantly increase production capacity, allowing the joint venture to meet the growing demand for polyethylene products in the region and globally.

For Qatar, this project is a major boost to its petrochemical sector. It not only creates jobs during the construction and operational phases but also stimulates local businesses through procurement and service contracts. As part of this transformative project, Best Group is committed to delivering excellence, thereby strengthening Qatar’s position as a leader in the global petrochemical market and contributing to the nation’s economic resilience.”

The Treatment Sewage Effluent project consists of two parts: the TSE line and the landscaping and irrigation system. The TSE line includes a total HDPE pipe length of 4,739 meters, comprising 4,222 meters of 355mm diameter HDPE pipe and 517 meters of 250mm diameter HDPE pipe. The landscaping and irrigation system is divided into two sections: 1,856 Nos sprinklers in Tract-D and the plantation of 3,500 trees in Tract-A. The TSE line will supply water to the sprinklers in Tract-D and irrigate the 3,500 trees, using a Hunter controller that will water one area in the morning and the other at night.

Soil Replacement Project (Tecnimont)

This project involves the excavation of top soil, which was then dumped at the port side. After reaching the formation level, the area was backfilled with 75mm of backfill material and compacted using a 10-ton roller.

Material Handling Project (Tecnimont)

Best Group is excited to take on the critical role of subcontractor for Tecnimont in the expansive material handling warehouse project, which is an integral component of the major polyethylene plant within the new polymers complex in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar.

Given the immense scale and complexity of this venture, the demand for efficient material management and procurement has never been greater. Best Group’s involvement in this project is a testament to our expertise and commitment to supporting large-scale industrial developments. Our work on the material handling warehouse is crucial to ensuring that the construction of the polyethylene units, which boast impressive capacities of 1,000,000 tons per year and 680,000 tons per year, proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
This warehouse will be a hub for managing the vast quantities of materials required for this ground-breaking project, playing a pivotal role in the timely and effective delivery of resources. By streamlining the material flow and ensuring that all necessary components are readily available, Best Group is not only contributing to the successful realization of this strategic expansion but also reinforcing Qatar’s position as a global leader in the petrochemical sector.
Our commitment to excellence in this project underscores our dedication to fostering the growth and resilience of Qatar’s economy, while also enhancing the capabilities of the joint venture between Qatar Energy and Chevron Phillips Chemical to meet the ever-increasing global demand for polyethylene products.
